Two Disney parks, 11 characters to meet, and one very very yummy French crepe.
Tuesday was packed with so much we got to do- I literally don't think my feet have thanked me enough when I hopped into bed at the end of the day. Our spirits were high though through it all! Me and Mavis knew we'd want to get everything in that we possibly could, all while staying positive and patient.
Our day started out bright and early. Right at the crack of dawn I was up and getting ready for our jam packed day ahead. We left our place right around 7:40am and were back at 11:30pm. It didn't even feel like it though! It felt like an hour had passed when really it had been ten. They say time flies when you're having fun, but it skyrockets when you're having a blast.
Our bus shuttle took us over to Disney's Hollywood Studios before the rides even opened. Which means... FIRST IN LINE BABY!! We basically sprinted over to our favorite ride the Tower of Terror. The memories of when I last got to ride (about ten years ago) came flying back and I was as excited as my 5 year old self when I first set eyes on the place. I'm always surprised at how many times you literally fly off your chair during the ride, and as always I was not disappointed. We actually got to ride this one twice before heading over to the next best- Aerosmith's Rockin Roller Coaster!!
Wanna know what dedication means in Disney? Waiting in line for legitimately almost two hours for a one minute ride.
Completely. Worth it.
The entire time me and Mavis were cracking up as we got thrown upside down and blasted off to high speed in three seconds. And who doesn't enjoy Steve Tyler rocking out in your own private concert (speakers that is) ?
So we realized we basically are always stumbling into things we didn't plan, like how we ran into one worker announcing to our general crowd, "No wait, just go on in!" and we started picking up our pace not even knowing what he was motioning us to go into. As we got closer we saw a slight corner of a sign saying Frozen and we BOLTED. We ran inside literally being the last ones the workers could allow in, and found our way up into the back and highest up section you could possibly sit. Still, the show was amazing. It was basically a live narrative of the movie with a sing-a-long theme. The best part were the narrators, who probably don't get paid enough as Elsa who was out for the very last minute only, but they were a riot!!
Then, we started goin nuts with hopping into lines to meet our favorite characters!! Mater and Lightning McQueen? Check. Frozone and Mr. Incredible? Check. Mike and Sulley? Obviously check.
These guys were so fun to meet. I love that they get to spend some time with you instead of just brushing you off for a quick photo and on to the next person in line. We wait so long to meet these guys, and it's nice that they get to make you laugh and comment on your unique ears and just mess with you before jumping to the picture taking.
Also, Sulley engulfing me in his huge fur was the highlight of my life.
Next was Phineas and Ferb, and then some lunch at none other than the ever famous Pizza Planet, where my usual drop things before I even step three inches away from the counter came out. Byeee delicious full cup of lemonade.
Then we waited in line to meet Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6! This movie kinda makes me and Mavis scream because our favorite youtubers Dan and Phil voice a couple characters and we need them to love us. So yeah help a sista out and tweet them this picture pretty please.
Before going over to Epcot though, we absolutely had to meet the top mouse of the century.
As I spill melting chocolate ice cream Mickey ears all over my body. Typical.
Earlier in our visit, we headed over to the Nemo exhibit and watched this hilarious show Crush narrated! It was one of those shows where he actually talks to the audience and makes jokes on improv, which always are my favorite. I have no idea how the technology is so good where the animation goes perfectly with crush's voice instantaneously, but I was amazed and extremely entertained! I love when shows like that make jokes for the parents and for the kids, and there were some really really funny ones in there. Mavis and I were crying by the endπππ
And finally, we absolutely had to make a visit to all the countries in Epcot, from Italy to Mexico to Japan, I was so in love with how well Disney represented every part of the world. A beer from the UK (mine was pear, so nom!) and a crepe from Paris was all we needed to get into the spirit. I loved how every place had something completely unique about them, and that the workers actually had to be from that country too. Disney, give yourself a big self five.
I'd definitely go back and see Epcot's countries during the day, or plan the day out so I could take a second ride on the Rockin Roller Coaster, but all the more reason to go back another time!
Side note: I think I kinda sorta know where I'll be going to grad school soon... But no serious commitments have been made yet. Just throwing that out there. Okay done with that haha
Keep your head to stars babes!
XO
Amanda
