Dinner and a petting zoo?

18

A good one direction song (rip).

Today I hung out on campus in my favorite study spot, and was rewarded with a Pitt Arts trip afterwards. I wish the real world offered you free meals like this one (drools) and live shows just like my school does.

Hey maybe I'll get lucky next year at cuse.

Also look at this amazingly flattering pic of the rooms and me. Stolen from the dinner table. Is that fred throwing shade or just checking me out?

(that's not a thunder bolt about to get us)

Haha no but we do keep it classy (sometimes) and the three of us sat and watched this really good but really weird show, that featured a live lamb! Imagine Liz and I seeing a puppy but times ten. I'm surprised Fredrika didn't kill us by the time the show was over! We get kinda ridiculous over animals. Sorry not sorry.

Love you all babes, thanks for reading!

Challenge accepted.

19

Fun fact I lived on floor 19 my freshman year at Pitt.

Man, time literally goes by so fast. In just a few years I've become the person I wanted to be. I never thought I'd see the day where college graduation was just so in my face, and here I am picking up my cap and gown.

I titled this blog appropriately. College was by far the biggest challenge of my life, from balancing friends to clubs to getting good grades. But I took it and ran with it.

More challenges today: presenting a bomb lecture on Joan Jett, completing my cycling class, signing up for a 5K, and announcing to the world that I have made my final school decision.

That's me and one of my best friends (follow her blog ! And YouTube channel!) looking happy as ever because we just completed a semester of cycling. We both had NEVER tried it before, and I almost hated her for making me sign up. I wouldn't have changed a thing though. I feel stronger than I have since I've been at Pitt, I've lost weight, my muscles are bigger, and I feel unstoppable. The power and pride you get out of this is unbelievable. Thank you Mavis for dragging my ass to the sign ups. Without you I wouldn't have a fulfilled college career.

It's amazing how one small decision can impact you in huge ways. Like today I also signed up for a 5K, also something I've never done but has always been on my list. I'm ready. Bring it on.

Keep on pedaling babes!

Finally I have cheese in my fridge

20

Ah mondays.

I tweeted earlier that there are less days until graduation now than how old I am. *sigh* where has the time gone.

So it was an absolutely beautiful day in the neighborhood, with 68 degree weather and a touch of rain just to make the air smell so crisp and delicious. I envy those people who can describe smells perfectly, because clearly I don't have that knack yet.

So made it to the gym for a bit and then later I FINALLY had to take a stop into IGA for some groceries. I literally haven't had cheese in my fridge for like two weeks (who am I?) and I was desperate for a veggie cheeseburger.

Also shout out to my little for kicking ass and making it to meeting (my last one!) even after your little adventure of the day. My littles a toughie for sure! Love ya babe :*

And yes I said that it was my last sorority chapter meeting, ever today. Wahhh! I remember the first day I went, I was so eager to hold a position and make dphie even more amazing. I'm happy to say that I love the house still after my three years of being a part of it <3

Stay sisterly babes!

Quit playing (Easter bunny) games with my heart

21

Hoppy Easter!

Time for the season of bright colors and floral prints to begin.

Mom this pic was for you :)

Speaking of mom I got to FaceTime my brother and parents today with them all squished on the living room couch just to see me. Love you guys!

After ALMOST (literally just a millisecond difference) arriving late to church this morning, Mavis and her sister and parents took us and Freddie out to brunch at the best place for a sit down meal in Oakland - the Porch!

Hello beautiful.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich on farm bread and it was to die for. Mavis's parents treated us to quite the meal- complete with cinnamon sugar donuts to get us started. If you're ever looking for a good meal on campus, stop in here for sure.

Back at the apartment, Fredrika, Mavis and I were challenged to an Easter egg hunt! Whoever could grab the most in our kitchen and living room won.

I lost.

Hahahah but omg not even by a little bit. I got slaughtered! But it's all good because I just had so much fun being a little kid :) and the fact that Mavis's family did this for us was enough of a gift for me!

Later, I couldn't help the temptation for a good ol Rita's gelati. That's custard, with Italian ice on top, and another swirled layer of custard to top it all off. Ah-may-zing. Bless whoever came up with that. Especially the strawberry cheesecake Italian ice part.

Super looking forward to this week though, with a lighter workload and just some little activities here and there like Pitt Arts and the much anticipated Her Campus cookie sale! Seriously can't wait!

It's finally feeling like spring! Let's find some things to be happy about, babes!

Sealed the deal

22

Saturday night we in the spot!

Hahah but omg what a great day.

First off, that's me adulting really hard and sending off my deposit to graduate school. Like what?!

I didn't expect this day to come so soon, and be able to handle it without getting super stressed. But, it's official! I'll be going to Syracuse University next fall!

As a little bit of a break, my big took me to this adorable nearby playground.

Yes we still love to swing :)

Then, we headed over to an on-campus cultural dance show! I could not be more jealous of the glamorous designs everyone wore, and their dance moves were amazing!!

So talented. I was most impressed at how in sync the whole groups stayed. Not a pinky out of place. Well done Pitt SASA!

After spending some quality big little time, my gbig joined us about halfway through the show, just in time for the meal. I wish I could eat spicy food, because it literally smelled like heaven. But, I wasn't exactly planning on keeling over during the show, so I kept my distance.

I feel so cultured this weekend! It's always a good time when you go to things you don't exactly know what you're gunna expect. Like the drag show, and this cultural dance. But you end up loving it so it's so worth the surprise!!

Later that night, before heading out to celebrate Lauren and Danielle's birthday in station square, I got to see Mavis's family who's just visiting for a couple days. Pretty sure they have a few things planned for us for the holiday! If every family was this nice, there'd be no hate in the world :)

HBD (again) to these two!
We tried this saloon which was a little hard to get to, but way worth it because for these birthday girls, drinks were a penny. YEA A PENNY.

Sooo next time I'm coming here for my 22nd lol. Ew that's weird to think about.

But it was fun because, again, trying new things, seeing different groups of people, just switching it up! I coulda done without the millions of moose heads staring at you in the saloon haha but whatever. I got to hang with some cool people who I know always have my back. Special shout out to Lauren for being there for me when I just needed a little bit of love.

No regrets this semester whatsoever.

Stay cultured babes!

Being tired is so worth the fun

23

This can't be real but there are literally only 23 days left. Wat.

Okay so today was awesome and lemmie skip to the good parts of it (because who has a day where absolutely nothing goes wrong?! No one, that's who).

I went to a drag show! These ladies flaunted it on stage and what an entertaining show it was. I couldn't stop laughing or clapping. So glad I got to make it one last time to support Rainbow Alliance! Such a great end to the week. Happy pride week all!

After the drag show, Mavis and I met up with Alyssa at Mad Mex for some strawberry margs and some much needed catching up.

Yummm.

Of course my big had to be included too, so after chilling at alyssas for a bit we hung out at hems to see her.

It's so much fun to just explore oakland and kind of just let the streets take you wherever. I'm gunna miss this place, but at least I'm open minded to trying new things.

Stay as fabulous as a queen babes!

Suns out guns out

24

Currently writing this while laying down in bed at 3am and constantly sneezing on my back. No lie. #cute

So THURSDAY! A great start to the weekend I must say. Today wasn't as inspiring as yesterday, with completing my running goal and all. But, a couple cool things did happen.

For one, we announced the new HC E-board members!! I'm so happy for the new team moving up in the Her Campus world (as in our cute little team!) and really be excited about doing what they're doing. Still I'm gunna miss the crap out if this amazing organization.

Everyone was so supportive of one another and I feel like the new team is going to work well. After all, Katie and I left a pretty good reputation behind if I do say so myself! Which, she is lucky enough to continue! Love ya girl, don't know what I'd do without my partner in HC crime <3

Later in the day, I met up with my little to watch her roommate sing in the acapella group Sounds Like Treble (hah, get it?) and they killed it! Guess who else performed?! YouTube stars Megan Davies and Keelan Donovan!

Such a good show, with so much talent and natural ability to perform. Way to go you guys!!

And to top the night off, I headed out with me big, little and GL and we looked hot af.

Yes that is us. Aren't we beautiful??

Night babes! Keep singing to your own beat <3
